Howard Brackett’s life is turned upside down when one of his former students, who is now a movie star, refers to him as being gay during the Academy Awards telecast. Howard denies the assertion and is only days away from marrying the fiancée he’s managed to hold at bay for a full three years. A slick and aggressive TV reporter is determined to get Howard to speak the truth.
